I know this may sound a bit cliché, but I just can’t think of a big enough gesture to show my appreciation enough for what Tony , Michelle and the rest of the team at Sandy Lane have done for me and my family. It really does put a new emphasis on the saying “going that extra mile”.
I have a 02 plate Peugeot which had a rather bizarre problem, it had a sight misfire and ran a bit lumpy, but that main issue was the fact you would be driving along one minute and the car would just randomly cut out for no apparent reason. This made the vehicle extremely unsafe to drive as you can imagine.
I took my vehicle into three garages, before taking it to Sandy Lane, none of which were able to repair the fault my vehicle had, but still applied a charge for their efforts. One of the garages was a Peugeot main dealer who refused to even get involved in the job.
Sandy Lane was recommended to me by a friend at my Gym, I took it in and straight away they provided me with a courtesy car for the day, free of charge which I thought was great. They reassured me they would try their best to get to the bottom of the problem, which filled me with confidence from the start.
They contacted me by the end of the day to say they were not one hundred percent sure they had rectified the fault but they had tried a few things and could no longer get the vehicle to stall. They suggested I take the vehicle away, to test it for myself, and return it if the fault re-occurs. This sounded reasonable because the fault was intermittent and didn’t happen all the time.
Tragedy then struck me and my family, my husband was then taken in to hospital seriously ill and admitted. On my way to visit him, the car started to fail again. I contacted the office and spoke to Michelle, I was very upset and emotional as this was the last thing I needed. Michelle was fantastic, she told me not to worry, that her and Tony would come to the hospital and swap cars, they would collect mine and leave me with one of their courtesy cars.
I ended up using their car for three weeks whilst they worked on my vehicle, without their extremely kind gesture and patience whilst trying to resolve the fault on my vehicle I don’t think I would have been able to get through those three difficult weeks.
My husband is now home well on the way to recovery and my vehicle is running better than ever. I have and will continue to recommend Sandy Lane to everybody I know, because without a shadow of doubt, they are the best garage I have ever come across.
